Promotions
Every few months FKU students demonstrate what they are working on for the instructors. A student who demonstrates that they have met the requirements for promotion to the next level will be promoted as a result of the evaluation. For promotion, students are expected to demonstrate proficiency in basics, self-defense, one-step and three-step sparring, free sparring, and kata at levels appropriate for their rank. Weapons evaluations are separate from open-hand evaluations.
